A Day with Tania Boler
Q: Do you wake up before your kids and get anything done when the house is quiet?
Tania: There are people who wake up before their kids? Ok, I'm joking, I do like to take five minutes to check urgent emails and make a quick to do list before the day properly gets going.
Q: Do you have a morning routine?
Tania: Getting my two children up and ready for school is about the only part of my day that has a routine! I like to be in the office by 9am and to have a little time to organise my day before I'm thrown into any number of meetings
What do you do on your commute to the office?
Tania: Walk and think! I've come up with some of my best ideas on the walk to work and it allows me to prioritise my day in advance.
Q: How do you kick off your day at work?
Tania: No two days are the same, but now that we are an international team with a couple of satellite team members in other countries, my morning usually consists of catching up on new developments from the other side of the world. I check in with the different departments to see if there are any urgent issues I need to be aware of. We are at a really exciting time at the moment with a huge growth in the teams, so it's a whole new challenge managing a company this size—but it's definitely a challenge I enjoy!
We're currently on a big recruitment drive and I like to stay very involved in interviews so this is definitely taking up a lot of my time. I see my role as adapting to what the priorities of the company are and we're changing so fast so my role really does seem to morph from month to month.
Q: What’s the Elvie office vibe like?
Tania: It's such a wonderful team, if I do say so myself! Because we are still quite small, all of the departments work really closely together. There is a very broad mix of personalities, but we all have a great dynamic. There is always so much going on that you can feel the kinetic energy between everyone. And we’re working on a project I'm super excited about that is going very well, but I can't say any more at the moment…
Q: How do you wind down your day?
Tania: I always try to get home to have dinner and put my children to bed, but at least once a week I have evening events or speaking engagements. Recently I attended the Porter Magazine Women of the Year event which was AMAZING!
I find it hard to switch off but jivamukti yoga is a great way to build strength, fitness and relax the mind.
