She's a women’s health advocate

In a number of recent interviews, Biel talks about her journey into motherhood and the motivation behind her current passion. It wasn’t until she felt ready to start a family that Biel realised quite how little she (and everyone else) knew about what pregnancy and childbirth actually entails. The decision was made to do something about it.

Earlier this year, Biel joined forces with WomanCare Global to launch a digital series promoting knowledge and education on reproductive health. With Whitney Cummings and Joy Bryant at her side, Biel tackles topics ranging from the “magic” of vaginas to loose condoms.

Firstly, we’re impressed at the ability to inject humour into such an overly hushed-up subject without mocking the topic itself. Secondly, it’s Biel’s incredible ability to talk openly and honestly about her own experiences that is a massive leap towards de-stigmatising women’s sexuality.

She climbed Mount Kilimanjaro

Back in 2010, Biel joined a team of fellow celebs to raise awareness for the global water crisis by climbing the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. It took 8 days for the group of 12 to reach the top of the mountain and hike back down to the town of Arusha, Tanzania.

UN Foundation executive Elizabeth Gore told People Magazine that “every single one of us was in absolute tears." Let’s be honest though, after days of torturous weather conditions, it’s no shock that they became overwhelmed with emotion at the end.

The main thing that Biel claims to have gained from the experience (other than raising awareness for a very important cause) is that no matter how much pain and exhaustion she faces; she will always be able to keep going. This is an incredibly poignant revelation, one that many people can relate to whether they’ve climbed a mountain or not.

She's currently tackling her toughest role yet...

In an interview with Good Morning America, Biel talks about how much she loves motherhood:

"He's wonderful. He's just a joy. It's an amazing, amazing experience. Incredibly hard—the hardest job in the world, and I've never been more thankful and grateful to my own mother. Oh my gosh, I just...I'm gonna call her right after this, actually, and just thank her because what she, what you have to do for your kid, it's an amazing responsibility and the biggest joy ever."

Although she's yet to put any snaps up on social media, we recommend following her on Instagram just in case ;)
