Using Elvie Pump
Yes, you can use Elvie Pump without the app, but the app will allow you to access Elvie Pump's smart features, including remote control, live milk monitoring and viewable pumping session history.
Elvie Pump's Hub (pump mechanism) has a two year warranty. In the unlikely event that the Hub develops a fault, please contact our customer care team on email@example.com and we'll be happy to help, including providing a replacement if necessary. The washable components have a 90 day warranty.
Elvie Pump is designed to be worn with your standard nursing bra. Use the Bra Adjuster provided to make sure Elvie Pump fits comfortably in your bra:
- If you are using a quick release clip bra, unclip the strap and attach the Bra Adjuster onto the clip
- When Elvie Pump is in position, fasten your bra clip to the lower part of the Bra Adjuster
Make sure all parts are dry before putting them together (after the parts have been cleaned and sterilized).
- Attach the Seal to the Breast Shield, using the tabs as guides
- Push the Breast Shield into the Hub
- Twist and click the Spout onto the Bottle
- Push the Valve onto the Spout
- Click the Bottle onto the Hub
Once fully assembled, press and hold the Power button to switch Elvie Pump on. You can pause Elvie Pump at any time by pressing the Play/Pause button.Filed under: Using Elvie Pump
- Press Bottle Release to separate the Bottle from Elvie Pump
- Remove the Valve from the Spout
- Twist the Spout to remove it from the Bottle
- Pull the Breast Shield away from the Hub to remove it
- Take the Seal off the Breast Shield
Can I use Elvie Pump?
Do not use Elvie Pump if you have an active implanted device that would be affected by a magnetic field (e.g. pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator).
This is a single-user product. Use by more than one person may present a health risk and voids the warranty.
Pumping can induce labor. Do not pump until after giving birth. If you become pregnant while breastfeeding or breast pumping, consult with a licensed healthcare professional before continuing.
Elvie Pump should not be used while lying down, engaging in strenuous exercise or performing activities with risk of harm.
Cleaning and sterilizing
Inspect, clean and sterilize all parts that come into contact with your breast and breast milk prior to first use and after every use.
The Hub (pump mechanism): this part must be kept dry. A damp cloth or wipes can be used to clean it.
All parts that come into contact with your breast and breast milk: clean after every use. Rinse separated components in cold, clear water (approx 20°C). Clean components in warm water (approx 30°C) using mild dishwashing soap. Rinse components with cold, clear water (approx 20°C) for 10-15 seconds. Alternatively, place on the top shelf of the dishwasher. Before first use and every day sterilize your Bottle, Lid, Spout, Valve, Breast Shield and Seal.
